Two Big Announcements - Helping the Front Line and the Home Bound

This is a short post with a big mission.

Big announcement #1: Sonia has done something truly amazing. Her sister-in-law is an anesthesiologist and is currently spending extremely long days intubating very sick COVID-19 patients. It’s some of the toughest of the tough work. After seeing an image of an acrylic box that Taiwanese doctors developed to protect themselves during intubation (below), she talked to Sonia about wanting to make some for herself and her colleagues.

Sonia (and her husband…he needs a big shoutout), got on the phone and called everyone they knew and many people they didn’t know. They wanted to find someone to manufacture this box. And they did. Sonia’s sister-in-law refined the box design you see above, Sonia sent the design to a plastics manufacturer in Chicago, they made a prototype and LOOK:

These boxes are now being manufactured by two large plastics facilities. But, we need your help getting them to hospitals all over the country…hospitals need them and they’re asking for them in droves. Please head to the Go Fund Me website, check out the video of this amazing tool and consider donating.

Big announcement #2: We are going to answer ALL your home design questions in a blog post coming next week. All of them. So send us your burning questions. Send us photos of the rooms that are stumping you, we’ll mock them up and post layout ideas or give you links to furniture (if you want to remain anonymous, let us know). We’ll share our go-to paint colors. Our favorite wallpaper sources. Is there some accessory or rug from one of our projects that you love? We’ll share it. Just ask because we’re sharing it all.
