Pilgrim Project

The Pilgrim Project is designed in a transitional style. We used a very serene neutral palette and added lots of texture in decor (baskets, pillows, rugs, greenery) and lots of pops of green to bring personality. The dining table is a wood pedestal table matched with armless woven dining chairs. There is a seating area with low profile, comfortable armchairs surrounding an extra large floor mirror. A black windsor bench adds extra seating and a weathered back console table provides extra storage.

PILGRIM Project

PROJECT: For this project we furnished the dining room (with one exception: the window treatments pre-existed our design). We also added a show stopping chandelier.

DESIGN DETAILS: This project is mostly transitional with touches of a coastal feeling (thanks to all the woven texture) and touches of a traditional feel (that black Windsor bench, for example). Pops of green and black bring personality without going too wild. This old New England home was built in the 1920's - with existing design elements, like the wood stained trim, and structural elements, like the original exposed brick, we wanted to update the room with a fresh, modern feel that seamlessly tied into the historic roots of this gorgeous home.
