For this project, we removed wainscoting, painted the walls, fully furnished and accessorized.
Project
The goal of this project was to create diverse storage, surfaces and seating that can remain useful as the purpose of the room shifts overtime. There are baskets and bins of differing sizes throughout the room. There are also nesting coffee tables and nesting accent tables that can be moved around to accommodate the way the room is being used on any particular day. Down the road, when the tent is no longer of interest, the slipper chairs can be combined with additional sections to create a sofa. In terms of aesthetic, we wanted to tap into the more subtle side of whimsy and color. The soft shades of green and pink feel almost neutral.
